DRC: downward trend in metal export prices on the market from June 26 to July 3, 2021 (Mercuriale)
The main export metals from the Democratic Republic of the Congo show a downward trend in their prices in the period from June 26 to July 3, 2021 compared to the prices recorded a week before this period, inform the data of the National Commission of Mercurials of price, a structure attached to the Ministry of Foreign Trade.
Copper prices this week are estimated at $ 9,237.20 per tonne compared to $ 9,759.60 in the period June 21-26, either a deviation of -522.4 $ or a downtrend.
The same is true for zinc which is trading this week at $ 2,875.40 per tonne on the international market against $ 2,995.70 in the period from June 21 to 26, showing a negative spread of – $ 120.3 , or a downtrend.
For tin also a downward trend is observed this week with prices estimated at 31,930.80 USD per tonne against 33,026.00 USD a week earlier, ie a negative difference of -1095.20 USD.
Even gold is trading lower this week at prices of $ 58.65 per gram compared to $ 60.85 a week ago, a negative spread of -2.2 $.
Only cobalt is showing an uptrend this week with price forecasts of $ 44,797.00 per tonne versus $ 42,500.00 in the period June 21-26, 2021, a negative spread of $ 2,297.
As for tantalum, its price remains stable on the international market this week at 237.00 USD per Kg.
